The Challenge
TBWA\Ireland is a full-service creative agency and part of the global TBWA collective, known for its philosophy of Disruption® — helping brands grow by challenging convention. With a diverse client roster spanning FMCG, finance, health, and non-profit sectors, the agency sought to raise its profile as the go-to voice for brand owners navigating a fast-changing consumer landscape.
TBWA\Ireland needed to:
- Elevate its presence in national media and business media
- Showcase the agency’s creative thinking and leadership across key sectors
- Highlight award-winning and socially impactful campaigns
- Position TBWA\Ireland as expert communicators on culturally relevant and commercially critical issues
- Build a drum beat of visibility for its senior leadership team and key client wins
In an increasingly competitive agency environment, standing out required more than showcasing creative work — it required strategic storytelling and consistent thought leadership.
Our Solution
We developed a strategic communications programme around three pillars: Authority. Advocacy. Amplification.
1. Authority: Showcasing Strategic Brilliance
We worked with TBWA\Ireland’s senior team — including CEO Dee Waldron, Chief Strategy Officer Paul Fisher, and senior creative directors — to identify and surface the agency’s most powerful stories. These included:
- Campaign launches for major clients like such as AIB, Deep RiverRock and Denny
- Thought leadership on topics like Slow Tourism, Gen Z and the future of retail, and the role of brand messaging in the U.S. Presidential election.
- Conversations around complex issues, including gaming’s cultural influence and AI’s impact on creative work.
We also supported white papers, leadership profiles, and insights that reflected TBWA’s commitment to not just creativity — but clarity, conscience, and commercial results.
2. Advocacy: Celebrating Meaningful Work
TBWA\Ireland’s work in the non-profit space has been consistently powerful and worthy of deeper engagement. Harte Media helped and are helping elevate the agency’s impact-driven campaigns including:
- The Mincéirí Archives – an award-winning partnership with the National Museum of Ireland that preserved and honoured Traveller culture and history.
- Replay – a new campaign for the Alzheimer Society of Ireland, designed to connect memory, storytelling, and lived experience through a unique digital platform.
These campaigns demonstrated TBWA’s ability to pair creative excellence with cultural and human insight — a key point of difference in the agency landscape.
3. Amplification: Visibility Across Platforms
Through a sustained media strategy, we secured impactful earned coverage across:
- National business and creative media including The Irish Times, Newstalk, RTÉ, Virgin Media Television, Sunday Times, thejournal.ie, Business Plus, Marketing.ie, AdWorld, Checkout.ie, Retail News
- Sector-specific interviews and bylines on communications, brand resilience and cultural change
- Social amplification and LinkedIn content planning to align leadership visibility with campaign impact
The Outcomes
- 16 pieces of content across national, trade and online media (July 2024 – Mar 2025)
- Estimated reach: 18.6 million
- AVE: €193,000
- Media visibility for over 10 client campaigns and strategic announcements
- Profile features for TBWA\Ireland leadership and creative thinkers
